Report Aboriginal Ancestral Remains

Discoveries of human remains must be reported to the Coroner or a police officer in charge of a police station. This can be done by contacting Coronial Admissions and Enquiries and notifying them if you believe they are Aboriginal Ancestral Remains.

In turn, these entities will contact the Council’s Ancestral Remains Unit if required.

If you are sure the Skeletal Remains are Aboriginal Ancestral Remains, you need to report them to Council as soon as possible. To make a report, contact the Council's Ancestral Remains Unit.
